Woman within network

She is a highly inspirational extrovert passionate about empowering individuals to live on purpose through their goals, dreams, and ideas! 

She is a native of New Jersey. She graduated from Somerville Public Schools.  She earned her degree in Travel Hospitality Management at Gibbs College. She is a member of NCNW - National Council of Negro Women Raritan Valley Section. She is a business partner with Chef Gary Pyrus of Southern Affair and B&L Catering Events.  She also serves as a Missionary, Samaritan Daughter and  Usher at her church Gethsemane Temple Church of Christ Written in Heaven Plainfield, where her mother is Pastor.

Tamara's love for people runs deep! She recalls at the tender age of 8, how she loved baking in her Tasty Bake Oven for the neighborhood kids. 

While at her grandmother's home, she recalls one of her favorite uncles removing the lightbulb.  Her response was "You might have taken the light bulb out, but my parties will always have spark".  Anyone who knows our Founder knows her to be classy, sassy, and full of spark! 

Her contagious "let's get it, let's go" personality granted her various hotel management roles. Her hotel career spanned from 1995 to 2019 working with hotelier brands such as Marriott, IHG, Choice, and Hilton. As the hotel doors closed due to the pandemic. She found the new transition working more in her favor than she expected. She enrolled in Ashworth College studying Healthcare Administration as she worked in the scopes of Oncology, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery. This is a true testament of her never-ending passion to keep learning and growing while helping others!

Tamara felt a nudge, to do more! Which was her calling. Her friends faced their "new reality" due to COVID as well.  This new norm left repeated questions; "what do we do, what do we say, how can we help? "So, taking a leap of faith with much prayer along with a pen, and a notepad the Facebook group Woman Within Network began!

The mere idea of sharing the mission was received overwhelmingly well. The Woman Within Network has taken off from a humble count of 2 to a growing number of 500+ women! Committed to daily engagement, motivation, and encouragement, with inspirational reminders to all that "today will be better than yesterday!"

Tamara is excited, ambitious, and eager to serve as the Founder of Woman Within Network!  She understands that the calling set forth is to Empower, Inspire, and Lead. Her motto: Helping others see their inner glow and shine is what it is about! Her stance: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13

Abiding by the Golden Rule: In order to help others, one must always be a help to themselves. Understanding that Balance and Relaxation are the keys to life... When she needs it most, don't be surprised if you find her in Nassau, Bahamas where she is deeply rooted and tied to her native land.
